Wolters Kluwer Legal Innovation Day (Conference)

Wolters Kluwer Romania organised the 5th edition of its Legal Innovation Day event on 31 October, 2024, at the JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel. The conference treated topics such as artificial intelligence and its effects on legal professionals, legal research platforms using new technologies and case studies in the use of such advanced tools, as well as future perspectives.  

International Conference on European Law and Immigration

The Institute for Sustainable Innovation and Technology organized the conference titled International Conference on European Law and Immigration on 19–20 November, 2024 at Bucharest, on the topics of emigration and EU pertinent legal norms.

Conference on minority data “Empowering Minority Voices: Data-Driven Approaches for Protecting and Promoting Minority Rights in Serbia”

The conference aimed to foster collaboration and dialogue among key stakeholders in Serbia to enhance the protection and promotion of minority rights through data-driven approaches. The conference took place at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law on 21 November, 2024. 

7th International Conference, Deviance and Criminality. Evolution, Trends, Perspectives - DECRET

The George Bacovia University in Bacău, Romania organized its 7th international conference titled Transforming Deviance end Criminality in the Digital Era between 21-22 November, 2024 in Bacău, on the topic of criminology of offences committed by the use of technology.  

Equality in an Ever-Integrating Europe in General Terms

The conference "Equality in an Ever-Integrating Europe in General Terms" addressed one of the most pressing issues facing the European Union (EU): how to balance integration with the principle of equality between Member States. As the EU continues to evolve, the challenge is to treat all Member States equally, regardless of their size, wealth or historical context. The conference was taking place on 21-22 November 2024 in Budapest.

Transylvania International Law Conference - 2024 „Current Issues Within EU and EU Member States: Converging and Diverging Legal Trends”, 7th Edition

The School of Law, The Emil Poenaru Center for Legal Research, and the Center for Legal and Diplomatic Studies within Transylvania University of Brasov organised the 7th edition of its annual conference titled Current Issues Within EU and EU Member States: Converging and Diverging Legal Trends on 22 November, 2024. 

Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) and the best interests of the child – General issues

An international team of scientists working in the field of Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) in the framework of the Central European Professors' Network presented the first results of their work at a scientific conference on 28 November, 2024 in Budapest. In their presentations, the scientists discussed various legal aspects of the use of human reproductive technologies.  

European Dialogue on Civil Procedural Law 

The European Dialogue on Civil Procedural Law conference took place on December 5-6, 2024 in Károli Gáspár University of Reformed Church, Károlyi Csekonics Palace. The conference focused on the Brussels Ibis Regulation, which plays a central role in European civil procedural law. The aim of the event was to promote dialogue between the legal systems of Member States and Third States, while enhancing the efficiency and integration of European legal instruments. 

Children’s Rights Days III

Children's Rights Days III (hereafter CRD III), the third annual international conference on children's rights, takin place on 5-6 December, in Budapest. The aim of the event was to celebrate both anniversaries by presenting five books that serve as the first semester course material for the International and Comparative Child Law LLM programme (hereafter: ICCR LLM).

Invitation for the Conference “150 years of the birth of Theodor Taranovsky”

The upcoming year will mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian scientist who, with his work in the Kingdom Yugoslavia, made a significant contribution to the Serbian academic community – Theodor Taranovsky (1875-1936). To honour his legacy the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law organizes the conference that will be held on 24 and 25 May 2025.

The Central and Eastern European Chapter of the International Society of Public Law (ICON-S) is pleased to invite submissions to its 2025 annual conference taking place at the ELTE Law School (ELTE Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Law), Budapest, Hungary. I Polish-Hungarian Scientific Forum (I PHSF)

The 1st Polish-Hungarian Scientific Forum launched a collaborative dialogue between Polish and Hungarian academics focusing on key legal issues on 12-13 December, 2024 in Warsaw, Poland. The event was part of the "Polish-Hungarian Research Platform", which presented the preliminary results of 5 research groups working on common challenges facing the two countries. 

Jean Monnet Visiting Lecture Series “The Quest for Supremacy? Constitutional Courts and EU Law”

Jean Monnet Department of European Public Law and Jean Monnet Module “EU Constitutional Law and Methodology” invite you to the Jean Monnet Visiting Lecture Series “The Quest for Supremacy? Constitutional Courts and EU Law”. The lecture will be held by Zdeněk Kühn justice at the Czech Constitutional Court, professor of Jurisprudence at Charles University Law School.
